Auto webinar

A viewer counter that a page refresh won't expose

The number of viewers is derived from the second of the recording, so the same second shows the same number to everyone. All you set is a minimum and a maximum.

Benefits

What it changes

F5 changes nothing

There's no random number on entry, so a refresh or a second phone next to the laptop shows the same thing.

A curve without jumps

The number never drops to zero and never jumps by hundreds of people in a second.

Two numbers

Minimum and maximum, with a curve preview in the panel showing the shape before you publish.

Step by step

How it works

  1. 1

    Minimum and maximum

Two values entered in the auto webinar settings.

  2. 2

    Curve preview

The panel draws the count across the full length of the recording.

  3. 3

    Same second, same number

Every viewer at a given second sees an identical counter.

Details

What exactly is included

  • The count is a pure function of the recording second
  • No randomness on entry - a refresh doesn't change the result
  • The curve never drops to zero
  • Curve shape preview in the panel

Questions

Viewer counter: questions

What about the counter in a live webinar?
In a live session the counter can be shown, hidden or boosted with an extra number, and the host panel always separates the real count from the added one.
Why is a random number a problem?
A tool that randomises the count on entry is exposed by a single F5 - after a refresh the viewer sees a different number than a second earlier.
