Both modes work here

Live webinars and auto webinars for online trainers and course creators

A course rarely sells from an email with a checkout link. It needs an hour in which the method is shown in action, the three most common objections get answered and enrolment opens in front of people. One live webinar a month, though, is too few sessions to fill a cohort.

Today

What costs time and money today

The launch webinar happens once a quarter, and for the rest of the year the course has no event that closes the sale.

Out of 400 registrants, 90 show up and 40 reach the offer, because the rest left early and never came back.

The same 60-minute webinar has to be run for the fourth time this month, because part of the audience could never make the date.

After enrolment closes, 300 addresses are left and they all get one bulk email, because nobody separated the no-shows from the people who stayed until the offer.

Both modes work here

A course creator has two different jobs, and each needs a different mode. The launch of a new edition is a one-off event: what matters is how the chat reacts, a seat counter adjusted live and the call whether to show the offer at minute 40 or wait two more minutes for questions. Between launches, the same material works as an auto webinar on a 30-minute schedule, where every viewer gets their own start time, calculated on the server, and their own sales window. The recording of a good launch does not go to the archive. It becomes a permanent entry point to the course.

Live webinar

Fits
  • Questions answered on the spot
  • Offer shown at the right moment
  • Fresh topic, relevant today

Auto webinar

Fits
  • A new start every few dozen minutes
  • Sales window from the viewer's session
  • Runs without a host

Step by step

An example flow from ad to sale

The numbers are examples. They show scale, not a guaranteed result.

  1. 1

    A Meta ad leads to a sign-up…

A Meta ad leads to a sign-up page on the creator's own domain showing "next session starts in 20 minutes". Over 9 days, 620 people register and the Meta pixel reports every sign-up.

  2. 2

The auto webinar runs 52 minutes…

The auto webinar runs 52 minutes and starts every 30 minutes between 10:00 and 21:00. The offer appears at minute 38 and the sales window closes 24 hours after the viewer's session.

  3. 3

The chat script plays comments at set…

The chat script plays comments at set seconds, and at minute 26 a poll, "how many courses have you bought and not finished", shows results in percentages.

  4. 4

A question typed in the chat goes…

A question typed in the chat goes to the host's Telegram, even after 22:00, and the answer comes back to that person's chat without a page refresh.

  5. 5

The email sequence splits people into four…

The email sequence splits people into four groups: no-shows get a new date, short viewers get a bullet-point summary, those who reached the offer get a reminder that the window is closing, and buyers get onboarding instructions.

Features

The features that work hardest here

Schedule every X minutes within a time window

The course gets more than 20 sessions a day instead of one date a month, with no host present.

Sales window counted from the viewer's session

Someone watching on Tuesday at 21:00 and someone watching on Wednesday at 8:00 get exactly the same 24 hours to decide, regardless of the launch calendar.

Viewer questions via Telegram

A question about a module's content gets an answer in that person's chat, even if it was asked at night.

Email sequences segmented by behaviour

Someone who left at minute 8 does not get the same email as someone who saw the offer and did not buy.

Retention curve with the biggest drop-off

Shows whether people leave at minute 12 of the introduction and which part of the recording is worth cutting.

FAQ

Questions

Can a live launch be reused later as an auto webinar?
Yes, both modes run on one account. The launch recording can be used as material for an auto webinar, with its own chat script and offer timing set separately. A replay of the launch itself plays the real comments and offer moments at the same seconds.
Will auto webinar viewers notice it is not live?
An auto webinar cannot be skipped forward, and the viewer counter shows the same number to everyone at the same second, so refreshing the page changes nothing. A question asked in the chat gets a real answer from the host, just with a delay. The honest approach is to describe the event as a scheduled webinar, not to pretend it is a live broadcast.
What needs to be prepared for the Studio?
One PDF file or an HTML presentation is enough. The Studio runs in the browser with no OBS and offers six layouts, two cameras, cropping to a section of the screen and private speaker notes attached to each slide.
